MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA

 

 

Pursuance to section 4(1) of ANLCA constitution;

• Membership shall be limited to corporate bodies incorporated under the companies and Allied Matter Act 1990.
• Not withstanding subsection 4(1)

A member will be admitted by making application in writing to the national headquarters or any National Committee set up for that purpose through the chapter executive council of his/her operational concerned and paid such fee(s) as may from time to time be approved by the NEC.

• No member shall be admitted if it does not carry on business in the shipping and/or freight forwarding business in Nigeria.
• If it is not licensed by Nigerian Customs Service as a custom broker with a current and valid operational license.
• If its representative(s) agent(s) or servants have been convicted of any criminal involving dishonesty or fraud.
• Incorporated and registered as a member with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
• Managing Director/CEO has 3 years experience in international freight forwarding and as a Nigerian Customs Licensed Agents.
• Company comprising of Nigerian citizens.
• Can contribute to the development of the Organization.
• Other rights and duties are general  & procedural (to maintain unity, support of association)
• Minimum number of staff five (5) employees and a proper office.
• Minimum educational qualifications: completion of formal education.
• Minimum two (2) persons must have completed the basic course for forwarding from any designated institute.
• Association shall maintain a membership register which is updated yearly and the condition for retaining member status is by paying fees as at when due.
